Hydrogenated nitrile rubber HNBR
Hydrogenated nitrile rubber (HNBR) is currently a kind of special rubber with the best comprehensive performance and great potential in the rubber industry, and can be used in a variety of extreme environments. It is prepared by selectively hydrogenating butadiene units on the nitrile rubber (NBR) segment. It not only has the oil resistance, abrasion resistance, and low temperature resistance of NBR, but also has more excellent high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, ozone resistance, and chemical resistance. Mainly used in automotive oil seals, fuel system components, automotive transmission belts, drilling holding boxes and pistons for mud, rubber rollers for printing and textiles, tank belt gaskets, aerospace seals, air-conditioning sealing products, shock absorption materials and other fields.
So far, HNBR has been born for more than 30 years, but the only global manufacturers capable of large-scale production are Zeon Corporation of Japan and LANXESS of Germany. The HNBR raw rubber needed in our country is all monopolized by these two companies, and the price of various types of HNBR on the market is currently 230,000-300,000 yuan/ton.
